Doctor Ross had lots of breakdowns all over this multifaceted country. Thank heavens --- who knows what kind of dire condition we’d be in if he figured it wasn’t worth the bother. Naturally I have an affinity for the New York Breakdown, as recorded for Fortune Records subsidiary Hi-Q. It wouldn’t take much effort to groove to this all night long.
